Yogic
Drinking Water
![](Images/frise4.jpg)
- Drink
up to 1.5 liters (2 to 9 glasses ) of pure water
in the morning on an empty stomach. It will flood the internal
environment and will assist the
body in performing its cleansing and balancing activities. It is not the
same as drinking water slowly throughout the day. This water is taken all at
once, first thing in the morning.
- Start
slowly, with 1-2 glasses.
- Just
let the water roll down into
the throat. Let the water work its way through your system.
- For
half an hour after drinking ,
do not consume other foods or beverages
- Do
not drink alcohol of any kind
the previous evening.
- After
drinking, you can use the yogic
exercises
for Shankprakshalana to
move the water through the body (arm up, balancing, squatting, moving the
knees, alternately lowering first one knee and then the other toward the
floor)
- In
the first hour, you may urinate a number of times. This is normal and will
not strain your kidneys. You may also find that the water prompts a bowel
movement. Both of these outcomes are natural and healthy and will clean your
system of toxins build up in
the body
Generally this cleansing exercise is both simple and safe.
Start slowly . Help the
activation of the kidney, with herbal teas, kidney flush,, massages etc….
Help the bowel movement by taking psillium or flaxseed. Abdominal massage
will be also helpful.
